Delete your Paysplit account
You can delete your Paysplit account from inside the app. Deletion starts a 30-day restore window before permanent deletion is completed.
Delete from the app
- 1Open the Paysplit app.
- 2Go to Settings.
- 3Open Danger zone.
- 4Tap Delete account.
- 5Verify ownership with the one-time code sent to your phone number.
What happens after deletion
Deleting your account starts a 30-day restore window. During that period, you may be able to restore the same account identity by signing in again with the same phone number and following the restore flow.
After the restore window, account data scheduled for deletion is permanently deleted or anonymized where practical.
Shared expense, settlement, group, and table history that involves other users may remain visible to those users with a deleted-account placeholder. This keeps their financial records understandable and prevents shared history from breaking.
Deleted accounts are hidden from public search, phone discovery, contact matching, share links, and invite discovery.
Request help without opening the app
If you cannot access the app, email us from a reachable address and include the phone number on your Paysplit account. We may ask for additional verification before processing account or data deletion requests.
